It's a day of melting snow and grey skies and though many people enjoy knowing that spring is just around the corner, I always find this time of year kind of sad in a way. I love winter! I love the snow and the cold air and the quiet and even the shorter days. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some elements of spring, it's just that most of the things I enjoy about spring involve spring becoming summer...I like summer a lot and so spring gets us there. Having said all of that, here's some stuff I bought over the last while!
Today I made myself a nice pot of Mighty Leaf Vanilla Bean tea. This stuff is really delicious. It smells like baking cookies.
Lily has been enjoying the box that some of this stuff came in and being spring she is in full nest-making mode. She has barely got time to look at me as she works on her new condo.
These Ariat brand boots looked like they may not be that high quality when I ordered them, but upon delivery I was thrilled to learn that they are actually of a quality that surpasses my Boulet cowboy boots.
Cowboy boots are the one kind of footwear I like to get in as high a quality as I can because I wear them all the time (regardless of whether they are in style or not). I think of them as daily footwear, almost like running shoes. I've found that high quality cowboy boots can last decades if cared for properly, whereas cheap fashion boots can wear out and crack within a year or two.
I love these boots because of the cards and dice that adorn them. Jeans actually cover the shaft of the boot when I'm wearing these, so they just look like normal black cowboy boots. Only I am aware of their hidden awesomeness (and now apparently all of the internet)! :)
These beaded black satin sandals are my new favourite summer shoes. They're extremely comfortable and the beadwork is gorgeous. The photo doesn't really do justice to the colours of the beads, but they range from turquoise and teal all the way to navy and purple and have rhinestone-y sparkly stones throughout. They match so much of my summer wardrobe!
Before the weather got so mild, I bought this Hello Kitty hat. I know...elegant isn't it? I look like an adorable dork when I wear this hat. True story. Anyway, it's pretty cute and not very expensive and it literally makes me laugh at myself every time I wear it. That makes it a priceless find!
This is a blue lace agate ring. It's apparently silver too, although it has no .925 stamp on it so I'll be happy if it doesn't turn my finger green. I love blue lace agate. It's my favourite semi-precious stone. I have a bracelet of blue lace agate that I absolutely love and now I have a matching ring. Aren't I fancy?
Anyway I hope you enjoyed viewing my random shopping results. I also bought some summer clothing for myself but I figured that would be less interesting so I didn't post any photos of that. You didn't want to see my new skirts and dresses did you? Nah, I didn't think so!
P.S. Happy St. Patrick's Day tomorrow!
