Back in the saddle

We'll see if I can keep my nose to the grind stone this time, my last flurry of posts were back in 2003. Being the tail end of 2006, I've had a 3 year hiatus... With encouragement from my wife, I'm starting blogging again. I never stopped because I didn't like to blog, it was more of a time management issue.

The past two days have been a little more exciting than Janet and I would like. Friday night, around 6ish, I was just about to go out the door to welding class at Algonquin College, when I found sceptic waste was bubbling up in the back pump room. Oh joy. I e-mailed the teacher, and called the plumber - Sewer Matic. They arrived around 10:30pm, by about 11:30 the plumber concluded that he couldn't snake out the problem, and that it had to be the sceptic tank. This had Janet and I sceptical, as the tank shouldn't have been full, we simply don't put enough solids in the tank between the both of us to allow it to be possible. Well, there was nothing
we could say, we had the pump truck and the flusher out to deal with it. Wouldn't you know it, the tank wasn't full, there was a blockage toward the end of the pipe, right where it entered the tank - which is where we said it would be... oh well.

During the same time as our sceptic was backing up, I had an emergency page from work, which took up ~10hrs that overlapped the sceptic disaster - what luck!
